We’re only a month into the new year and already Netflix is showing us this is THE year for binge-worthy shows.
If you’re looking for something to keep your little ones occupied while you get some work done, a show or two that will help you teach your pre-teen a lesson about life or if you just want to relax and get lost in a series when the kids go to bed I’ve got a list of your MUST WATCH shows of 2018.
Keep your little ones busy with these titles…
I’m ashamed to say that we’ve never read the children’s books featuring the beloved Llama Llama but excited that now we have new books to read at bedtime since my son has fallen in love with and already watched the entire heartwarming series about family, friendship and learning new things.
As Queen Poppy welcomes a new time of peace in Troll Village with parties, sports and holiday celebrations, Branch tries to be more fun-loving.
Ahh…this show brings back memories! Of course, the Mrs. Frizzle we all knew and loved as children has retired and passed the “learning torch” over to her little sister. Luckily, for our kids, Fiona is just as smart and ready for some fun loving wild and imaginative learning adventures as her big sister was.
Teach your pre-teen the obstacles they may face in life with these titles…
Season 2 returns with the Alvarez family facing the every day challenges that are (for the most part) typical in todays society. Just like a lot of families with one parent, Penelope is the glue that holds her family together as her children, Alex & Elena give a real and fresh perspective to what some children of a different ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation (as unfortunate as it is) may have to face.
I can’t even believe I’m saying this because I’m pretty sure EVERYONE has seen Full House at least once in their life, but just in case for some reason you haven’t…WATCH IT and as soon as you’re done start binging Fuller House and watch the Tanner family’s adventures continue as DJ shares a home with her sister Stephanie and friend Kimmy who help raise DJ’s three boys and Kimmy’s daughter.
I know it may seem a little repetitive that I ALWAYS mention Fuller House as a MUST WATCH but…if you haven’t watched season 3 yet, you TOTALLY have too! I promise the finale will have you saying “Oh My Lanta” and keeping your fingers crossed for a season 4 renewal.
Put the kids to bed, grab a glass of wine (or cup of tea) and binge-watch these titles…
I don’t want to give any spoilers away but let’s just say the residents of Riverdale are not as wholesome as the comic books made them out to be. Nope, Archie and his gang are just like every other normal teen/young adult (god help them) dealing with sex, romance, school, peer pressure and family. The only difference is they’re also entangled in a dark mystery.
I don’t like politics, obviously for good reason but I do love a good scandal and this show has got it all including a team of powerful Washington, DC lawyers who can and do make it all go away, while they deal with problems of their own.
Titles to look forward too this year…
On My Block – Four bright and savvy friends navigating their way through life in South Central LA. Set to air in February.
Lost in Space – A reboot of the 1960’s classic. Set to launch mid 2018.
