Summer has come and gone - the kids have been in school for a couple of weeks, the air is getting crisp and the days are shorter. As much as my boys love school, in no way did they want the fun of summer to end. We moved into our very first house, adopted two (sister) kittens and were able to wake up with no help from an alarm clock. At least, I was.

Lucas and Colton, both received a VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch DX2 near the end of summer and aside from the 55 watch faces they swiped through in entirety, this smartwatch also helps tell time and wakes you up with an alarm - this, they loved and me, not so much.

As appealing as the digital and analog customizable watch faces were to them it certainly was not their favourite aspect, no that would have to be the dual camera. Lucas jumped at the chance to take pictures of Calla and Lily (our new kittens) on their kitty condos and Colton couldn’t resist taking hilarious selfies and spontaneous photos of the rest of us with the SillyMe App.

SUMMER IS OVER BUT THE FUN DOESN’T HAVE TO STOP

Ever want to be a monster hunter? I know as a child, I had. Heck, even now, growing up with shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Scooby Doo…who wouldn’t want to be one, right?!

Well, my boys are BIG fans of Scooby Doo and they see all the “fun” the “monster” hunting team has and of course, they want a piece of the action. The Smartwatch has a Monster Detector that will allow your kids to save the world from evil beings in real life. It honestly doesn’t get any better than that!

I honestly didn’t think that there was such a thing as the VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch DX2, I mean they certainly didn’t have a watch like this around when I was younger. It’s so awesome that the “age recommendation” (because let’s face it, I’m an adult and I want one) has one of the biggest gaps I’ve seen, ages 4-12 years old.
