Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie #KraftPeanutBetterIt

I am not a breakfast person at all and I’m starting to notice that my kids don’t like it either – they always complain about sore tummies after. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to let my oldest go to school without having something to fill him up. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Smoothies are the perfect thing for tricking your mind into getting the fuel that it needs to stay energized until snack or break time comes around. You can add just about anything to a smoothie and take it with you, making it the ideal get-up- and-go breakfast choice; they’re quick, easy and kids love them – at least I know mine do.

Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie #KraftPeanutBetterIt

The first time I ever made my Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie I just used Kraft Peanut Butter with Chocolate. Now that I’ve discovered Kraft Peanut Butter with Chocolate, I decided to enhance the chocolate-y flavour, which gives me bonus points with the little ones.

Ingredients

 

Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie #KraftPeanutBetterIt • ¼ cup water
• 1 tablespoon chia seed
• 1 cup almond milk
• 1 frozen banana
• 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 tablespoons  Kraft Peanut Butter with Chocolate

Directions

Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie #KraftPeanutBetterIt1. Soak chia seeds in water for 10 minutes.
2. Place all ingredients and chia seeds with remaining water in blender. Blend on medium speed for 2 minutes and high for 1 minute or until desired consistency.
3. Serve immediately.

These Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothies are so delish that my kids don’t realize the almond milk, chia seeds, banana and  Kraft Peanut Butter with Chocolate are packed with so much protein they’re actually having a breakfast that’s good for them. All their minds can register that early in the morning is “Mmm…chocolate!” and who can blame them?
