World Of Fantasy With Disney On Ice
I can’t tell you how excited me and my family were to go to this years production of Disney On Ice: World of Fantasy from Feld Entertainment. We watched trailers, Lucas was counting down and Colton was excited every time the commercial came on “I go dinee aw ice!” in fact the ONLY way to get him to go for a nap the day of was to tell him, when he work up we would go.
We get our tickets, buy some souvenirs and treats, find our seats and than Colton remembers… he’s scared of everything! The crowd was filtering in, the lights were still on and my 2 year old was crying “I scared, I scared.” Why? Your guess is as good as mine. This is not the first time that he has acted this way and this in no means represents anything on Disney On Ice or Feld Entertainment; he’s just a little boy who for some reason gets worried very easily and will not listen to reason.
As I mentioned in a previous post introducing the Disney On Ice coming to Winnipeg, we took Lucas to his first on when he was about the same age and he LOVED it. Oh well, different strokes for different folks I guess. In the end we made it work. Lucas was able to stay and watch the show while mommy and daddy took different shifts with Colton running around in the hall.
Enough about my “scaredy-cat 2 year old” and his fiascoes, let’s talk about the amazing show I was able to catch bits and pieces of and Lucas was mesmerized by. There were cars zooming around on the ice, fairies flying, toys dancing and mermaids turning into humans. The music had everyone dancing, clapping and singing along in their seats and I’m not just talking about the kids. The performers skated beautifully and captured everyone’s attention as they maneuvered along the ice.
Every time I looked over at him his eyes were glued to the ice and NOTHING was taking his attention away from it. The first thing he said to me when he woke up the following day was “Mommy, that was so much fun yesterday! My favorite was all of the Toy Story.” Of course it was, he’s loved that movie since he was 3 years old.
If you haven’t already purchased your tickets I suggest that you do. The magic of any of the Disney On Ice shows will put a smile on your child’s face and melt your heart.
Have you ever been to Disney On Ice? Do you plan on going this year?

Let me just say that it takes some serious, serious talent to skate in a cowboy costume 😉

Thanks for the share. I want to take my niece and nephews when the show was in Columbus, Ohio a couple weeks ago, but forgot. The oldest is 7 (boy), 6 (girl), and 4 (boy). They would have enjoyed that. Oh well, they will have to wait to see them in December when we go to Disney World.

As much as I loved Disney on Ice, I would love to see them in Disney World more.
