Make Family Travel Fun with Books from Raincoast Books #Giveaway
The next time your family goes on a vacation (or a staycation) you’re going to want to bring along the three titles that we recently had the pleasure of receiving by Lonely Planet from Raincoast Books and here’s why:
Brain Teasers

Whether you’re traveling by plane, train, boat, car…heck, even a spaceship or you and the family are sitting in your accommodations of choice on a rainy day, Brain Teasers will help you keep the fun family vacation vibe going with a little bit of friendly competition for both children and adults. You will finally find out who’s the smartest in the family with some logic puzzles, riddles, codebreakers and so much more.
Which one of you will gain bragging rights an where the invisible smartypants crown?
Everyday Adventures

How long have you lived in your hometown? How much do you really know about what’s local to you?
We moved to the town we live in just over a year ago and I can honestly say there’s not too much that we know about it and even less that we have explored. We do know that the main strip has a post office, a grocery store, a small department store, plus gas stations, cafes, and diners. However, what’s up and down the side streets we’re really not sure and I’m almost positive we are not the only ones.
Everyday Adventures offers challenging ways for you to experience everything your hometown (or one that you’re visiting) has to offer. Will you follow your senses, go on a social adventure, take in some cultural odysseys or take your chances with a roll of the dice? With some simple instructions and knowledge of what to bring along on your journey, you will surely embrace your traveler side and see your local area in a whole new way.
My Vacation Scrapbook

If you’ve been following my blog at all you will know that I love any keepsakes that will help you cherish memories and that is why my favourite out of the three books we received, by far is My Vacation Scrapbook.
This special keepsake book allows your children to bring their vacation and all the fun they had back home with them. There’s lots of fun for kids to get creative with special mementos, drawings, pictures and there’s even a spot for the food they ate, literally. I know, that sounds kind of gross but if you’re a mom of boys you know that they will think this is the best thing EVER!

I stayed home all summer! We worked around the yard doing repairs that we haven’t had time to do during the last several years when I’ve been away part of each summer. We also refinished two tables and are almost done refinishing the 8 chairs that go with them. I wish we had another two months of summer to continue all the other projects I’d like to do!
