Handmade with Love by Canvas Champ #Giveaway

Last July, when we moved Colton decided he wanted to lend a hand. By that I mean he seen us cleaning everything and thought it would be a good idea to take a bottle of (locked) Febreeze and a wet cloth when we were preoccupied in another room and “spray” the wedding picture we had on canvas that we blatantly left sitting on the kitchen table. EEK!

I think I would have lost it had I not walked into the room and seen his smiling face looking up at me, as he said “Look mommy, I helping!” He was so proud of himself that I couldn’t help but say “Yes you are!” and not get mad. There was that and the fact that the canvas itself was poorly made and I constantly had to re-stick and re-stretched canvas to the wood.

I’ve been looking for something to replace this photo ever since but I didn’t want to spend money on something I wasn’t going to happy with, and because of my previous experience I was a little leery on where I should get one from. When Canvas Champ contacted me and asked me to review one of their canvases I thought, “Alright! Worst case scenario – I don’t like it but I don’t have to pay for it.” I would’ve gotten to warn you all about a crappy product and helped you save your money.

Memories on Canvas Handmade with Love

Here’s the thing…I don’t hate it, I don’t like it…I love it!

Rather than opting for another canvas print from our wedding I decided to order a 16×20 custom canvas print with an image wrap of my favourite family photo we had taken in the fall just over a year ago. I just love the neutral colours of fall; green, brown, orange and yellow…they’re all beautifully portrayed on our canvas. They do have the option to add a frame to your finished product which I opted out of because I love the natural look of the image wrap and this is a feature I always tell my clients about.

When it comes to hanging pictures we are the biggest procrastinators around, probably because we aren’t in our forever home or just because of laziness. Whatever the case, this canvas has been sitting on my living room for a few weeks; I tell you this because my 3-year-old (yup, the same one who ruined my last canvas) has been “accidentally” falling and bumping into it…with his feet and it’s still intact thanks to the hard backing .

It may have taken a little longer to get to me than I would’ve like but I’d imagine anything made in India would take some time. I’m all about “quality over quantity”, so if something is going to take some time–as long as I’m not in desperate need for it–but I’m happy with the finished product the time it takes doesn’t matter and this canvas was well worth the wait.

Canvas Champ specializes in putting your memories on canvas but they can also provide acrylic, metal, photo board and peel & stick prints at very affordable prices. Check them out on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Youtube.
