Get-up-and-Go Peanut Butter Snack Bites #MyKPBsnackbite
My oldest - Lucas loves peanut butter and has ever since we first introduced him to it when he turned 1-year-old. If we would’ve let him, he would’ve had peanut butter sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and supper. Even now that he’s 7-years-old, when given a choice he’ll still ask for them, occasionally for a snack he’ll have a big spoonful of peanut butter and that’s it. How he’s not sick of peanut butter by now I’ll never know but I’m okay with that because it’s full of protein. After school, the first thing Lucas does is head straight for the fridge or his lunch bag to look for any leftover snacks. Colton and I thought it would be nice to have something a little different waiting for him, something that included his favourite ingredient… you guessed it, peanut butter. We’ve come up with the perfect snack that’ll kick his energy into high gear after a long day of learning and being active plus they’re perfect for those days when we’re constantly on the move.

This was the first time that we made anything together because he’s 2-years-old and doesn’t listen AT ALL! Amazingly, the hardest part of making our creation was getting him to keep his grubby little fingers out of the mix and constantly having to say “Not yet!” when he asked “Is it ready yet?” every two seconds.

Yum! I’m personally not a big fan of raisins, but coconut and chocolate and peanut butter sound divine. My two-year-old is starting to help out in the kitchen too. She makes a mess, but she has so much fun!
