From iPhone To Samsung (My Pros And Con Of My Switch)
I finally did it! I have converted and am now officially… A Samsung owner. I have to admit it was something that I’d never thought I would do but at the same time, knew it was only a matter of time before I did do it. Is it weird that just before I signed the contract, I was absolutely terrified? I almost didn’t… but I’ve always been curious so I took the plunge.
For three years I had an iPhone and I knew it like the back of my hand. Definitely something, that I did not want to give up. However, change is not something that I have ever been afraid of and I wasn’t about to start now. After having the phone for a few days I have to say… I actually like it!
Don’t get me wrong, just like anything new it has its pros and cons but at the moment, I’m mostly seeing the pros.
PROS
- It has a better camera, even the video is much clearer.
- Bigger screen makes it easier to do, well… everything, really.
- I’m not sure what it’s called but with the swipe and text thingy my finger never has to leave the keypad, making it faster to type what I want.
- All of my notifications stay hidden and not cluttering up my screen, until I want to see them.
- It can read my mind, it’s like it knows what I want to say before I finish. I’ll never have to type a full word and maybe even a sentence again.
CON
- My hand is too small so I have to use both hands; one to hold the phone, the other to type with but I guess that’s really a con for my hand and not the phone.
I never thought I’d say this, but I am glad that I made the switch and I’m sure that their is so much more it can do that I have yet to discover.
Have you ever made a change that you weren’t entirely sure you wanted to and ended up being glad you did?

I’m so addicted to all of my apps, I don’t ever think I could make the switch. Do you miss the app options?

Actually all of the ones that are important to me I was able to get with my Samsung!

Definitely! I’m also glad the trend is towards the bigger screens ’cause I’ve always dreaded having to get on the internet through the phone (Blackberry); it’s awful! I feel like such an old person for saying that, but it’s true.

Haha I was just thinking the same thing about the screens and being old the other day.

I have never used a Iphone but i do like both my samsung tablet and ipad for different reasons lol. Sometimes, the change you dread is a lot easier than you anticipate- i know that has definitely happened to me! Like switching classes at uni, you never know how it is going to turn out.
Amanda Komoski
Change can definitely be surprising 🙂

I’ve never used an iPhone, but I’ve heard people say they love them. I’m not a fan of window-based products unless it’s my laptop. I say Android all the way. Swiping and word suggestions are definitely time savers. Oh I think the last time I was unsure was when Androids were made available.

I’m a few years behind the cue ball here - I’ve yet to trade in my slide phone for a smart phone… But reviews like these make me glad I don’t like apple products! It doesn’t seem like I’d be missing out on much if I went with a Samsung

Not at all but be warned once you get a smartphone consider yourself addicted.

Love samsungs phones! The swype feature is also my fave! A lot of people don’t realize how many great android phones are out there, and they can definitely hold their own against the iPhone!

I think it’s just the fact that its an apple that people think it’s more Superior… I know I did.
