Family Night Board Game Ideas from Asmodee Canada + #Giveaway
Summer vacation is over but the fun doesn’t have to stop! Family night just got a whole lot more competitive, entertaining and mobile thanks to Asmodee Canada and the board games they sent us over the summer.
Here is a rundown of what we received and if you scroll to the bottom you will have the chance to WIN two random games that will make your family night more amusing.
Go Cuckoo

For the younger crowd of 4+, Go Cukoo is kind of a reverse Jenga-style game with sticks instead of wooden blocks. Once you help Kiki place a few twigs (which you choose from the standing sticks) on top of the base that is also the container for the game. Be careful though, because when Kiki lays her eggs (or you gently place them down) if the nest is not sturdy and only half built she will lose them all if she can keep them safe you win the game.
Junggle

The adorable animal illustrations in Junggle make it hard to believe why anything would be scared of them but the animal wheel cards and the 5 mini-games show us just how they are connected.
Did you know an elephant, the largest animal, is scared of a teeny tiny little mouse? So did I, but I forgot and I’m sure our kids did too. Overall, Junggle is a great and fun tool for children to learn how each animal is an important part of the jungle and what it is like in their natural habitat.
Spot It! On the Road

Stop the kids from fighting in the car with Spot It! On the Road. They will be too busy using their eyes and fast reflexes to be the first one to spot the symbols on the card. Recommended age is 7+ but we live about an hour out of the city and my 5-year-old loves playing this game.
Smile

First off, how cute is that creature on the box?! The cuteness doesn’t stop there, once you start playing Smile you’re greeted by smiling hungry creatures looking for their next meal of fireflies. Which creatures will you get? Will you sacrifice you juicy fireflies for the highest points or face the consequences and maybe go in the “red”.Nobody knows because this game is based in chance and the luck.
Contrast

Contrast is a game best suited for 3+ players. Each player carries the same six cards. Once an image card is placed in the middle of your play area you all need to put down one symbol card that best describes what you see; whether it’s a colour, shape, etc…wherever the majority lands those people get a picture card which equals the points. As soon as all the picture cards are gone the game ends and the player with the most cards wins.
Which game do you want to try most?
