Cartoon Throwback with Netflix #Streamteam
Ahh…to be young again.
Where the only worry I had was to make sure I woke up on time for Saturday morning cartoons. I’d get out of bed all groggy headed, grab my pillow and my blanket, get a bowl of my favourite cereal and cuddle up on the couch for hours of animated fun with my TV.
I swear they don’t make cartoons like they used to or maybe they just don’t make Saturday morning cartoons like they used to. I remember turning on the tv and channel surfing because I couldn’t decide which cartoon to watch not because I didn’t like them but because I liked too many.
Although most of these shows are obsolete, I know that whenever I get a feeling of nostalgia and wanting to relive my childhood I can just turn on Netflix, go to the section my boys watch and find a few retro throwbacks, like; JEM, The Popples, Scooby Doo and The Smurfs…just to name a few.
The number one reason why I’m happy that I can find these titles on Netflix is because I can share them with my boys. Lucas has loved Scooby Doo since he was a toddler–at one point it was all he would watch–and Colton is slowly starting to follow in his big brother’s footsteps.
What were your favourite cartoons growing up?
