What is female empowerment?
Well, in my eyes I see it as having the objective to take control of your own destiny. My philosophy is if you want something go get it because only the important things in life are worth the fight and my chance at fulfilling my dreams is something I will fight till the end for.
I used to think that becoming a teacher was a dream of mine, than being a photographer and as much as I love doing the latter I now know that it is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to be my own boss; make my own schedules, come and go as I please but most of all I want to be able to support my family on MY terms.
I’m not alone in this feeling, more and more women seem to be choosing the entrepreneurial way starting their own businesses in the service or retail area.
Do what you love!
I am a female and I know myself, just as many of you out there love to shop, have a relaxing day at the spa and if it includes your closest girlfriends, well you know… get where I’m going with this? This may sound a little stereotypical but it’s true in most cases… not all but most!
Do what you love! Why not open a clothing boutique, a salon or how about a Glama Gal Tween Spa? I don’t have a daughter but if I did I would want somewhere that she could hang out with her girlfriends and have a good time, somewhere other than the mall or my living room.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Glama Gals lately! I think my daughter would LOVE it there! We’re a bit of a trek from their locations, but I’d love to make it there someday- they look so fun!
