I used to wish there was a place that delivered sweet treats straight to my door…apparently dreams do come true!

From one province to another, Bakers Krate is a monthly subscription boxed filled with delicious baked goods made by Canadians for…anyone with a sweet tooth!

I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba; lived here all my life, in fact I grew up in the same house for over 20 years. I know I may not do it enough but I love supporting local businesses (I just need to get out more) and Bakers Krate is as local as they get.

This months Baker Krate featured items from two local bakeries; Goodies Bake Shop and Cake-ology. Both bakeries I’ve heard of but have never been to. Why? Well to be honest, I didn’t know what to expect so I’ve always just gone with the safe decision and chosen places I’ve tried and know I like.

There were 6 different desserts included in the monthly subscription box and I was able to sample a few options from each of the bakeries I mentioned above. Complete with an Ingredients List for each of the items in English and French, making it easy for anyone with allergies to know what they need to stay away from and what they can

What was my favourite sweet treat that Bakers Krate had to offer, you ask?

The Chocolate Brownie Square from Goodies Bake Shop won me over the minute I opened up the box. Anyone who reads my blog regularly or follows me on social media knows that I am a total CHOCO-HOLIC and I have absolutely no will power around it.

I would’ve like to have seen more of an assortment in regards to where the baked goods came from because I’d like to think of Bakers Krate as a way to help me take the guesswork out of my sweet tooth tribulations. You know things like…Where to go? What I should order that’s sure to fill my sweet tooth cravings? That sort of thing!
