During the month of October, family movie night gets a little “hair-raising” around here.
For us, the beginning of Fall marks the start of our “Not-So-Scary Halloween Movies for Kids” nightly marathons. We try to watch at least one Halloween movie a night. Sometimes we have to miss because of our busy work or school lives, when that happens we try binge watch a few movies in one day, usually something that comes in a sequel or trilogy once life starts to slow down again.
There are always a few titles on our “must-watch” list, some that bring back memories from my childhood and some that I’d like to create new memories of with my boys.

perfect timing! My son wants to have some friends over for a spooky movie - and I was on the hunt for some appropriate for 6-9 year olds!

I have a 7 year old and I would let him watch all of these. I may be a little more lenient compared to some in what I let my kids watch but as long as they know it’s just pretend there’s no harm.

We love so many of these. Monster House was one of my favorites but it creeped out my oldest (a teen) when he was little and he STILL won’t let us watch it. 🙂
Thanks for sharing with Small Victories Sunday Linkup. Pinning to our linkup board and hope you found some great posts to visit this week!
