The first time I tried yoga was a disaster. I learned a lot that day – one of them being, I’m not a fan of yoga. Don’t get me wrong, I strongly believe yoga is a killer workout and I’m all for having to work hard to achieve your goals, but I just don’t have the flexibility for it. This doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate some fine yoga accessories or fashionable apparel.

Yoga pants have got to be the most comfortable thing in this world to wear and I’m not ashamed to say that if I can get away with it, I will wear them everywhere. Luxe Leggings are so soft, form fitting to my bottom half and they even have a special little spot for my locker key when I decide to venture out to the gym.

They key to staying motivated is variety – change up your workouts every so often to keep it more about being fun and less about work. Jillian Michaels 10 Minute Body Transormations offers 5 intense 10 minute workouts all completely different to help you keep boredom away. It’s extremely important to take time for ourselves but I also know that as a mom, that’s not always possible. It’s nice to be able to pop in a DVD and workout for 10 minutes a time with multiple options before that inevitable “MOM!” is heard.
I find that receiving gifts or buying myself new things helps me to stay motivated in many things I do, for example; I receive a new piece of furniture I’m motivated to finally clean my house or I get a new haircut I’m motivated to actually wash and style my hair. The same goes for getting healthy and back to me.
