I’m Lucky Because… {St. Patrick’s Day Craft}
Since St. Patrick’s Day is just a week away, I though what better time to find out what my son feels lucky to have or do. I’m not sure about any of your children, but I know that mine only talks when he wants to talk. What better way is their to get him to open up than helping him have fun while he does it. Here’s what you need:
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Something to write with
- Heart shape tracer or cookie cutter
- Construction paper (green and any other color you choose)
On the green construction paper, trace and cut four heart shapes with the cookie cutter, if you want to add a stem you can do so with the green paper as well. Glue the four heart shapes on the alternate piece of paper, forming them into a four leaf clover. If your child cannot print yet you can do this part for them - on each clover get them to write down the different reasons that they are lucky.

Thank you! It was great, I had everything at home already except the construction paper but my mom had it so it didn’t cost me a cent 🙂

Definitely, I thought for sure he would say toys or something like that but instead he actually picked important things in life.

You mamas are all so good about saving and making artwork for your kids! I always tell my sister she will regret tossing out what she considers unimportant now! It’s nice to see boy’s art becoming a focus with modern parents!
Amanda Komoski
Thanks but I don’t keep everything, as much as I’d like too. He draws on a daily basis and 9 out of 10 times they are the same.

Aww, how sweet! I always loved doing arts and crafts as a child. And as an adult too, on occasion. It’s a nice, fun and safe way to keep occupied and be creative. Awesome. Thanks for sharing this with us. Peace!

It definitely keeps the kids busy and out of trouble.

This is such a cute and simple idea. Maybe I can do something with a Christmas theme. I have lots of cookie cutters. Gingerbread men upside down look like reindeer’s.
Amanda Komoski
I know… I really want to try that.

I adore this craft. What a bright idea and so much fun for kids. I especially like the part where the kids tell you what they are lucky for. I will use this next year!
Amanda Komoski
Thank you. I don’t think it’s something that children are asked often enough and that’s why it’s so easy for them to take certain things or people for granted.
